On 14–15 January 2026, the FORCE consortium met in Brussels for a two-day working meeting dedicated to the further development of the Pragmatic Clinical Trial Programme and its governance framework. The meeting brought together FORCE partners, members of the Advisory Board, and the Patient Panel.
Day 1 focused on programme development and governance. Discussions covered overall coordination, the role of advisory and patient bodies, and the current progress of the Pragmatic Clinical Trial Programme. A keynote lecture on patient-centred research set the context for interactive plenary and break-out sessions, where participants jointly explored programme priorities, structure, and next steps.
Governance remained a key theme in the afternoon, with dedicated sessions addressing practical and transparent models for charity-led, multinational trials.
Day 2 was fully dedicated to patient centricity and involvement. Through keynote presentations, panel discussions, and workshops, patient representatives, researchers, and consortium members examined concrete approaches to embedding patient perspectives across all stages of FORCE activities.
The meeting concluded with agreement on next steps for programme development and governance, reinforcing FORCE’s commitment to collaborative, patient-centred research.
The event was hosted by Kom op tegen Kanker, whose support created a productive environment for focused collaboration and exchange.
