On 26–27 May 2026, the FORCE consortium gathered in Warsaw for a two-day working meeting focused on the presentation of the Pragmatic Clinical Trial Programme and the launch of the first FORCE Call for Proposals. The meeting brought together FORCE partners, Advisory Board members, Patient Panel representatives.
Day one centred on the programme and the first call. The morning opened with a comprehensive presentation of the FORCE Pragmatic Clinical Trial Programme, covering its scientific scope, patient engagement plan, and governance framework. An interactive lecture on good clinical trial funding practices – drawing on the experience of KCE Trials, a Belgian public funder of non-commercial trials – provided valuable external perspective. The afternoon was dedicated to the first FORCE Call for Proposals, with sessions addressing call ambition, governance and evaluation, patient engagement, and communication. The day concluded with a general discussion and closing remarks, followed by a joint dinner.
The second was reserved exclusively for FORCE partners. Morning sessions addressed governance, organisation, sustainability, and the inequality and sustainability plans developed within the consortium. The afternoon focused on project selection and funding models for the first call, and on collectively defining what success looks like for FORCE – closing with a forward-looking session on key topics for the blueprint preparation.
The meeting was hosted by Fundacja Na ratunek Dzieciom z Chorobą Nowotworową, whose warm hospitality in Warsaw provided an excellent setting for two days of focused collaboration and strategic exchange.
